Introduction to Nonprofit Funding
Every nonprofit needs money to carry out its mission, but unlike businesses, it doesn't rely on just one source of income. Donations, grants, sponsorships, memberships, fundraising events, and program fees can all play a part in keeping an organization running. If you're planning to work with nonprofit clients, you'll hear these funding terms regularly. This course gives you a practical introduction to how nonprofit funding works, why organizations use multiple funding sources, and how each one supports the mission. You won't learn how to write grants or run fundraising campaigns just yet. Instead, you'll build the foundation that will help you understand conversations, documents, and projects you'll encounter as a nonprofit Virtual Assistant.
